During my September holiday to The Canary Islands, American Husband inspired me to keep working at my fitness and created for me a series of largely bodyweight-focused ‘WODS’ (workout-of-the-day in CrossFit terms). Since no equipment is needed you can pretty much do these anywhere, anytime – perfect for when you are traveling or can’t make the gym*. I’ve been trying to incorporate this style of activity into my workout routine back home, and of course whenever I start any new fitness regime, you can pretty much guarantee I’ll need some new kit to wear that motivates me to work hard and feel my best.
Espalier Sport are a new brand that weaves sleek, seductive, silhouettes with subtle yet powerful feminine details into an active-lifestyle collection for withstanding the rigors of fitness as well as being something you want to incorporate into everyday wear. Designer Karen Hseih developed Espalier Sport from an appreciation of lingerie and an interest in the empowering nature of innerwear for some women. With this active-wear సేకరణ, she seeks to embrace both ease in movement and sensual freedom of expression, which she achieves very nicely with this comfortable and a-hint-of-the-provocative line.
I’ve worn this cropped wide-band bra-top for yoga and the bodyweight WODS I mentioned at the start of this post. Whilst some might find the straps insubstantial for lots of high impact activity (you might prefer the midriff bra top), the wide band gives good support around the chest area. This top is lined, has removable cups and a racer-back which I much prefer for freedom of upper body movement.
